MEDINA

Remains of 1917 wreck of Scottish liner which foundered 3 miles ENE of Start Point after being torpedoed en route from Sydney and India, via Plymouth, to London. She was laden with a general cargo which included tin, Indian brasses, and Australian meat, and was also carrying passengers. Constructed of steel in 1911, she was a steam-driven vessel and had been fitted out initially as a Royal Yacht for the Delhi Durbar of 1911.
