HIND

1667 wreck of English Sixth Rate ship of the line, also described as a ketch, which stranded on the Crim Rocks, Isles of Scilly. Constructed of wood in 1655, she was a sailing vessel.

She played her part in the Second Anglo-Dutch War (1665-7). She is known to have taken part in the Battle of Lowestoft in 1665 (1584087) and may be identifiable with the HIND ketch (1433212) which was sunk in haste during the Raid on the Medway (1584349), but recovered shortly afterwards.
